About kidsEduGaming Turning Screen Time into Learning Time kidsEduGaming is a free educational gaming initiative created to transform one of the greatest challenges facing children today—unproductive screen time—into meaningful, enjoyable, and effective learning time. Powered by KidsFirstClass and developed as a Bach Foundation project, kidsEduGaming is based on a simple but powerful vision from Eric Bach: Children are already spending time on screens. Our responsibility is to make that time worth something.
Instead of asking children to step away from technology completely, kidsEduGaming uses the attraction of digital games to support learning, curiosity, creativity, confidence, good values, and practical life skills. The goal is not to give children more screen time. The goal is to give their existing screen time a better purpose. Learning Should Feel Like Play Children naturally learn through play, repetition, discovery, experimentation, and imagination. Yet too many educational platforms make learning feel like another test, another assignment, or another source of pressure. kidsEduGaming takes a different approach. Every game is designed to make learning simple, enjoyable, interactive, and rewarding. Children can explore mathematics, science, language, reading, geography, history, technology, creativity, health, environmental awareness, morals, values, practical life skills, and much more. The games are not intended merely to entertain children. They are designed to help children think, understand, remember, solve problems, make responsible choices, and develop confidence in their own ability to learn. This is education made lighter, friendlier, and more engaging—without making it less meaningful. Free for Life kidsEduGaming is a nonprofit and non-commercial educational project. There are: No advertisements. No subscriptions. No hidden payments. No commercial promotions. No personal-data harvesting. No pressure to purchase upgrades. The games are created to be available free for life. Education should not become another digital marketplace in which children are treated as customers, their attention is sold to advertisers, or their personal information becomes a product. At kidsEduGaming, the child is not the customer. The child is the purpose. Privacy Comes First Children deserve a safe digital environment. kidsEduGaming does not need to know a child’s full name, home address, personal history, family details, private interests, or online behavior in order to help that child learn. Our goal is to provide useful educational experiences without building advertising profiles, tracking children across the internet, or collecting unnecessary personal information. The project is guided by a clear principle: A child should be able to learn online without surrendering their privacy.
Technology should serve children—not study, manipulate, monetize, or exploit them. More Than Academic Knowledge Education is not limited to remembering facts or passing exams. Children also need to learn how to communicate, cooperate, manage emotions, recognize danger, respect others, solve disagreements, understand money, protect the environment, use technology responsibly, and make thoughtful decisions. For this reason, kidsEduGaming aims to support the development of the whole child. Games may cover areas such as: - Mathematics, numbers, logic, and problem-solving - Reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, and communication - Science, nature, health, and the human body - Geography, history, culture, and citizenship - Kindness, honesty, responsibility, empathy, and respect - Financial literacy, saving, budgeting, and smart choices - Digital safety, coding, media literacy, and critical thinking - Creativity, music, storytelling, memory, and imagination - Environmental awareness and community responsibility - Practical knowledge that children can use in everyday life The vision is to make learning broader, more practical, and more connected to the real world. A Positive Alternative to Empty Screen Time Screen time is often blamed for distraction, isolation, reduced attention, inactivity, and lost learning opportunities. Those concerns are real. But screens themselves are not automatically the problem. The greater issue is what children are doing on those screens. A screen can deliver meaningless distraction, aggressive advertising, addictive scrolling, and inappropriate content. But the same screen can also teach a child to read, calculate, reason, create, communicate, understand nature, recognize emotions, solve problems, and make better decisions. kidsEduGaming exists to help make that second possibility easier, safer, and freely available. We believe that technology can become one of education’s greatest tools when it is designed around children’s development rather than commercial engagement. Simple Games. Serious Educational Purpose. The games on kidsEduGaming are intentionally simple. A child should not need a complicated account, expensive device, lengthy tutorial, or advanced technical knowledge to begin learning. The best educational game is not necessarily the most technologically complicated. It is the game that helps a child understand something important, practice it willingly, remember it clearly, and enjoy returning to it. Every game should therefore aim to be: Easy to understand. Enjoyable to play. Educationally meaningful. Age-appropriate. Encouraging rather than punishing. Safe and respectful. Accessible to as many children as possible. The technology may be simple, but the educational ambition is not. Learning Without Fear Children learn best when they are allowed to try, make mistakes, receive helpful feedback, and try again. kidsEduGaming does not treat every wrong answer as failure. A mistake can be an important part of understanding. Games should guide children toward the correct answer, explain why it is correct, and encourage them to continue. The objective is not to create anxiety or unhealthy competition. It is to build knowledge, persistence, confidence, and curiosity. Learning should not tell a child, “You are not good enough.” Learning should say: “You have not mastered it yet. Let us try another way.”
Created from Vision, Not Commercial Interest kidsEduGaming was not created as a commercial product or investment opportunity. It grew from Eric Bach’s personal vision, educational passion, and belief that children deserve a better relationship with technology. The initiative reflects a larger commitment behind KidsFirstClass: placing children’s development, knowledge, safety, dignity, curiosity, and future before commercial interests. The project does not begin with the question, “How can this make money?” It begins with a different question: “How can this help a child?”
That question guides the entire initiative. A Living Educational Project kidsEduGaming is not intended to remain fixed or finished. Education evolves. Technology changes. Children learn in different ways. Parents, teachers, researchers, designers, and young learners all see opportunities that others may miss. For that reason, we warmly welcome: - New educational game ideas - Suggestions for additional learning areas - Corrections and content improvements - Accessibility recommendations - Feedback from parents and teachers - Ideas for making games clearer and more effective - Recommendations for different ages, abilities, languages, and cultures - Reports of technical or educational problems Constructive criticism is not a threat to the project. It is one of the ways the project can become better. A strong educational platform should listen, learn, improve, and remain open to better ideas. Built for Children, Supported by Everyone kidsEduGaming is created for children, but its success can be strengthened by the entire educational community. Parents can suggest the skills their children need most. Teachers can identify difficult concepts that could be made easier through games. Education specialists can recommend stronger learning methods. Designers and developers can help simplify the experience. Translators can help make games available to more children. Children themselves can tell us what is fun, what is confusing, and what would make them want to keep learning. Every thoughtful suggestion can help turn a small educational game into a meaningful learning opportunity for children around the world. Our Promise kidsEduGaming is committed to remaining: Free for life. Free from advertising. Free from commercial influence. Free from unnecessary personal-data collection. Focused on education. Designed with children’s interests first. Open to ideas, corrections, and continuous improvement. This is not simply a collection of online games. It is an attempt to redefine what children’s screen time can become. It is a practical educational initiative built on the belief that technology should expand a child’s mind—not merely occupy it. The kidsEduGaming Vision We envision a digital space where children can play without being manipulated, learn without being pressured, explore without being tracked, and improve without being judged. A place where every click can lead to understanding. Every challenge can build confidence. Every mistake can become a lesson. Every game can have a purpose. And every minute spent on a screen can become a minute invested in a child’s future. kidsEduGaming Turning Screen Time into Learning Time. Powered by KidsFirstClass A Bach Foundation Project
